Masks Still Required
Throughout Spring Break and in the following weeks after, we will continue to monitor local and county health data and assess all local conditions, including the recommendations of public health agencies, before proceeding with our plan to step down all masking requirements. On April 11, we will review case rates, and if rates decline, masks will be optional for all students/staff in outdoor settings on April 18. If rates continue to decline, masks will be optional for all students/staff in indoor settings on April 25. If case rates spike, we will revert to previous masking guidelines (required for students/staff in all settings). South Bay will continue all other mitigation strategies (ventilation, testing, etc.) to ensure the safety of our community. Regardless of our requirements, we encourage those wishing to continue wearing masks to do so.
